Ferries to Puerto del Rosario

The ferry port of Puerto del Rosario is in the island capital on the east coast of Fuerteventura and is the island's most important port. From here you can reach five destinations: Arrecife on Lanzarote in a good two hours, Las Palmas on Gran Canaria in six, Santa Cruz de Tenerife in just under eleven and Santa Cruz de La Palma in 23 hours, plus Cádiz on mainland Spain. Together the services add up to as many as 13 departures a day, and crossings take between 2.25 and 32 hours. The frequency varies a great deal: Las Palmas is served on almost every day of the week, Santa Cruz de Tenerife on around five, while Arrecife, Cádiz and La Palma are served only about once a week. The port is served by Balearia and Naviera Armas.

Getting there and the terminal

The scheduled ferries tie up at the Muelle Comercial, the port's commercial quay. The operator lists the Estación Marítima without a street number, simply as Muelle Comercial s/n, 35600 Puerto del Rosario. Follow that signage when you drive in.
