Railay Beach ferry port is in the province of Krabi in Thailand. From here you can reach 13 destinations, among them Koh Phi Phi, Phuket and Koh Lanta. Together the services run up to 66 departures a day. Crossings take between 30 minutes and 5 hours. 5 operators call at the port, among them Andaman Wave Master, Bundhaya Speed Boat and Chaokoh Ferry.
Getting there and the terminal
There is no terminal here in the usual sense: Railay is a stretch of beach hemmed in by limestone cliffs, and boats land on the sand. The Tourism Authority of Thailand names the passenger boats from Ao Nang and from Nopparat Thara Beach as the way in. The trip takes around 20 minutes, and boats run all day from morning until evening. For postal purposes Railay belongs to Ao Nang in the Mueang Krabi district.
Railay has three sections, and it is worth knowing which one you are heading for: Railay West, with the cliffs at your back, where you can swim and watch the sunset; Railay East, at the end of which stands the climbing wall; and the beach at the Phra Nang cave with the shrine revered by the sailors of the area. If you arrive here with luggage, bear in mind that no vehicle runs between the boat and your accommodation.
