Ferries to Santa Cruz de Tenerife

The ferry port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife lies right by the island capital and is the most important passenger port in the Canaries: both the traffic between the islands and the long link to the Spanish mainland run through it. From here you can reach 8 destinations, among them Las Palmas, Agaete and Morro Jable. Together the services add up to as many as 69 departures a day. Crossings take between 1.25 and 34.5 hours. Getting there and the terminal

Fred Olsen Express handles departures at Muelle Ribera, the port's first quay; the operator gives its address as Edificio Ciudad, 38010 Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The port stretches across several basins and has more than one passenger terminal, among them the port authority's Estación Marítima, which houses the operators' offices. Which quay applies to your departure is printed on your ticket, and you should stick to it: the operators do not use the same building, and getting from one basin to another costs time you do not have before departure.

Check-in

Between the islands, Fred Olsen Express requires foot passengers to be on the quay 20 minutes and vehicles 40 minutes before departure. For sailings between the Canaries and the mainland the operator states one hour, for passengers and vehicles alike. Miss the deadline and you lose your right to carriage and your booking.
