The ferry port of Shikinejima is on the Izu island of the same name in Japan. From here you can reach 5 destinations, among them Tokyo, Kozushima and Niijima. Together the services add up to as many as 14 departures a day. Crossings take between 15 minutes and 3.25 hours. The port is served by Tokai Kisen.
Getting there and the terminal
Shikinejima has two berths, and that is the point to settle before you travel: Tokai Kisen lists both Nobushi (野伏港) and Ashitsuki (足付港) for the island. Nobushi is the operator's reference point, and from there it gives walking times of 5 to 40 minutes to destinations on the island; for the Matsugashita Miyabiyu hot spring it names Ashitsuki. Check on your ticket or directly with Tokai Kisen which of the two ports applies to your departure.
Check-in
Tokai Kisen requires the boarding formalities to be completed no later than 15 minutes before departure, or your reservation may lapse. The operator explicitly advises getting it out of the way as early as possible.
