- Fährterminal Yawatahama auf der Hafeninsel Dejima, Dejima 1581-26, Yawatahama, Präfektur Ehime (seit 1. April 2022)
The ferry port of Yawatahama lies on the west coast of Shikoku, at the foot of the Sadamisaki peninsula. There is no bridge between Shikoku and Kyushu, so the ferry is the direct way across. From here you can reach Usuki with up to 14 departures a day and Beppu with up to twelve, up to 26 together. Crossings take between 2.25 and 2.75 hours. The port is served by Kansai Orange Ferry and Uwajima-Unyu Ferries.
Getting there and the terminal
Since 1 April 2022 the ferry terminal has stood on the harbour island of Dejima. The address is Dejima 1581-26, Yawatahama, Ehime Prefecture; for a satnav, Orange Ferry suggests searching for the telephone number 0894-22-5094. A bus runs between the terminal and JR Yawatahama station, with the timetables published by Uwajima Bus and Iyotetsu Nanyo Bus. Car parks A, B and C are reserved for vehicles travelling on board. For everyone else there are 14 paid spaces at the Dejima car park, plus stands for bicycles and motorbikes.
