Terminals
Yokosuka Ferry Terminal, Shinko-cho 11-4, Yokosuka (Kanagawa)

The ferry port of Yokosuka is in Japan. From here you can reach Shinmoji. There are up to 2 sailings a day. The crossing takes around 20.75 hours. The port is served by Tokyo Kyusyu Ferry.

Getting there and the terminal

The ferry terminal is at Shinko-cho 11-4 in Yokosuka, Kanagawa prefecture. By car it is around 5.2 kilometres from the Yokosuka exit of the Yokohama-Yokosuka expressway, and the operator allows about 15 minutes for it. Without a car the terminal is just as easy to reach: from Yokosuka-Chuo station on the Keikyu line it is 1.2 kilometres, about 15 minutes on foot and around six by taxi. Leaving your car at the terminal and boarding without it is not permitted.

Check-in

Tokyo Kyusyu Ferry expects you at the terminal at least 60 minutes before the ship sails, and 90 minutes during Golden Week, the summer holidays and around the new year. The operator points out explicitly that the departure time means the moment the ship casts off: allow time for the formalities and for the walk on board.
