Foot passengers should arrive at the Rostock terminal around 30 minutes before departure, as a shuttle bus leaves for the ship about 20 minutes before sailing. In Gedser it is enough to be there about 15 minutes before departure, as the walk to the ship is shorter.

What facilities are there on board the ferry?+

The ships on the Rostock-Gedser route offer a range of dining and shopping options on board. There is a buffet restaurant and a self-service cafeteria serving meals, snacks and drinks, plus an on-board shop for travel essentials and souvenirs.

Passengers can also use free Wi-Fi on board. For children there is a small play area to keep them busy during the crossing.

Be at Rostock ferry port no later than 15 minutes before departure.

  • Blue lane: self-service - number-plate recognition or enter your booking number, then take your boarding card
  • Yellow lane: staffed desk for motorhomes, car-and-trailer combinations or buying a ticket on the spot

After check-in: waiting area → boarding when called.

By bicycle

Check-in at the passenger terminal. Arrive 30 min before departure (Rostock) or 15 min (Gedser). Bicycle fee around €1.50 on top of the passenger ticket. Bikes are usually taken on board via the vehicle ramp.
