The ferry port of Wakayama is on Honshu in Japan. From here you can reach Tokushima. There are up to 16 sailings a day. The crossing takes around 2.25 hours. The port is served by Nankai Ferry.
Getting there and the terminal
The terminal's address is Minato 2835-1 in Wakayama. By car it is about 15 minutes from the Wakayama exit, and about 25 minutes by Wakayama Bus from JR Wakayama station. The most comfortable way is by rail: the Nankai line takes about 70 minutes from Namba and around 60 minutes from Kansai airport to the port. The car park at the terminal is chargeable and has 40 spaces; you pay for your parking ticket at the desk.
Check-in
If you arrive by car, you park it in front of the desk and buy your ticket in the building. Nankai Ferry asks you to be at the sales desk at least 30 minutes before departure; a reservation lapses 15 minutes before departure. On foot you board by the gangway from 15 minutes before departure, and check-in must be complete by then.
